Excellent trainers. Two slight (and I’m being picky) things I’d like modified. 1. The heels are not reflective like the original Silver Shadows… that’s the biggest thing I’d change for safety reasons. 2. The laces could be 4 inches longer as I think someone in the manufacturing process skimped on that. They’re ok but could be longer.
I used to run cross-country a loooong time ago and remember buying silver shadows when they first came out. Nice to have a pair again and loving them.
Scuffed after a couple of wears
Excellent trainers work perfect for gym work, cross training, treadmill and outdoor running. Perfect.
Honestly ....I've been size 11 since teens - I'm 45 , yeah cool trainers. They fit just like any 11 to me personally. I love them and remember them well so bit nostalgic, but ......only slight criticism is insole bit can come away and you'll need to adjust - perfect shape and design just maybe stronger glue ? Thanks Hi- tec 👍
Wish I had went to the next size up a bit tight at the toes
i used to wear silver shadow when i was 16, saw this pair of retro and thought great i’ll have buy a pair.. easy online order form, easy online payment, swift delivery great value for money

Not had a pair of hi-tec trainers for many years, but very glad I bought these. Very happy with them :-)
Ordered a UK 9 but too small and very tight. Was informed no returns so Ordered a 10 from elsewhere and they are perfect
My only problem with Hi-Tec is your advertising and promotion methods. I responded to an email which promised 20% discount if I signed up: I duly signed up, placed my order and received no discount. I will stick to shopping in store when special offers are made. Your sales methods are awful.
Took a long time to get here. Not sure if that was the carrier’s fault or not.
I have bought HiTec trainers for many years particularly Silver Shadow. However I do find difficulty in finding the Hi-Tec brand in Derby at retail outlets.
A good make of shoes
Retro, these were cool in the early 80s, still cool now. Now being back the freedom in canvas with light blue stripe. Also the early 80s white/red basketball boots.
A really comfy pair of shoes. I've got one pair for the gym and one pair the I wear out and about. I would order a size bigger because they do seem a bit smaller.
Insole came loose after one wear. Despite being comfortable the quality of manufacturing is very poor
The width of the shoe tongue has been reduced by 12mm so reducing comfort
A bit tight fitting toe box but ok for 5k runs. Nicely made , look good. Very pleased
Had silver shadow trainers for nearly 40 years very comfortable long wearing and you can wear them all day
