Womens Walking Sandals

Womens walking sandals are open, lightweight sandals built with the grip, cushioning and secure straps of walking shoes — made for active summer days on trails, by the water and on holiday. Hi-Tec’s range covers sporty trail sandals, cushioned walking styles and trainer-sandal hybrids.

When the weather turns, you shouldn’t have to choose between cool feet and a proper walk. These sandals let you have both — grippy enough for a coastal path, comfy enough for a city in August.

What are walking sandals — and how are they different from normal sandals?

Walking sandals are made to be walked in, not just worn: a grippy cushioned outsole, adjustable straps that hold your foot securely, and a supportive footbed. A fashion sandal has none of that, which is why feet slide and ache within a mile.

That’s why walking sandals are the summer footwear of choice for hikers, travellers and anyone on their feet all day when the sun’s out.

What to look for in women’s walking sandals

Grippy cushioned soles using the same rubber thinking as our shoes; secure adjustable straps; quick-drying builds for water; and sporty trainer-sandal styles that combine closed-in comfort with airflow.

Where can you wear them?

Hill and coastal walks, travel and sightseeing, festivals, watersports and paddling, camping, gardening and everyday warm-weather wear. They pack flat and shrug off sand and water.

FAQs

Are walking sandals good for hiking?

Yes — for warm-weather hiking on established trails they give walking-shoe grip and support with far more airflow. For rough scrambles or cold, wet conditions a closed boot is better.

How should walking sandals fit?

Foot secure on the footbed with no overhang, straps firm without pinching. Size up if between; Hi-Tec can come up half a size small.

Can you wear them in water?

Yes — sports sandals dry quickly, great for stream crossings, beaches and watersports. Rinse off salt and sand after.

Sports sandals vs trainer sandals?

Sports sandals are open and strappy; trainer sandals keep more of a trainer’s closed feel with added ventilation. Both are built for active wear.
