They broke on the third use. they have a manufacturing defect with missing stitching and the customer support won't send me a new pair without me returning these first. trouble is they are my only dog walking shoes. I've then been offered a 5 gbp voucher if I fix them myself. I'm really dissatisfied with the customer service.
Excellent value for money trainers. Very comfortable, and perfect for daily adventures
I a hetero female but wanted trainers without girlie colours so chose from the men's range instead. I have other Hi-tec shoes and like the general style and wearability. I think it's a mistake to assume all women want to wear feminine colours, I prefer more country shades.

This is my second pair. Can’t remember how old my other pair are but still serviceable. Worn regularly for everyday use rather than serious hiking ( for accuracy). Obviously happy to recommend.
Ordered Khaki, got taupe delivered but they’re fine. A little tight though although comfortable enough, could’ve done with a 9 . Needed them for a walking break so couldn’t return sadly.
Great shoe, but after 24 hours of wearing them the left shoe started to make a clicking sound and it felt like the soul had become slightly detached. But it’s the inner cushioning that’s causing the noise. But other than that it’s not a bad shoe and it’s comfortable to wear. The real test will be in a few weeks time when I go to Wales hill walking. Then time will tell.
I've recently purchased 2 pairs which makes my total ownership of these shoes: 4 pairs. They are comfortable and reasonably smart looking. Some walking shoes on the more affordable end of the market can be what I call 'galumpy' in that they have thick, ugly-looking soles and just look all-round cheap/affordable. These shoes have a nice, svelte sole and are more trainer-like. They punch above their weight looks-wise. I take a size 7 and these fit perfectly - and by perfectly I mean there is some room for one's feet to 'expand' in the summer heat (as they do). The soles are the real bonus with these shoes as they wear extremely well, especially when worn mainly in an urban environment. Higher end shoes which are designed for hiking etc. tend to have soles designed for the great outdoors and don't tend to wear well on hard, urban surfaces. I tend to 'wedge' (wear out on one side) higher end shoes in a year of use. These shoes have lasted over 2 years with constant use. Performed well over 4 weeks in Mauritius where the average temperature was circa 35 degrees C. Good breathability. The waterproof membrane is good - kept feet dry in a 45 minute deluge. The colour of the leather trim bleaches out over time but I don't mind this. Hi Tec could do with offering more colour options. Where the cost of this shoe doesn't exceed £60 it offers good value-for-money. It is a great, long-lasting all-round walking shoe. I give it 5 STARS out of 5.

Exactly what I was hoping for
Having tried different brands, I returned to HiTec trainers as I have worn them a few times and were my main brand in my youth. Quality is good and the wear is good lasting a good time before they start to look scruffy with age. Would definitely buy again at this price too.
Further to my review of 19/10/24, these shoes are now done! I realised this when I started squeaking as I walked. There was no danger of me sneaking up on somebody from behind because you could hear me coming a mile off!! On inspection, the sole at the heel end had split and on both shoes which caused the squeaking noise. It's put me off HI-TEC.

Have said that the shoes come up large. However that is what I wanted, has have wider foot. I think the shoes are good value for the price

Been wearing every day for over a month now out delivering parcels are they're handling it really well. Waterproof so far, no experience of a heavy deluge yet though. Would buy another pair.
Absolutely cracking walking shoes!! A stiff sole, lots of arch support, and a nice rolling motion when walking! These are superb walking shoes! I used to buy the previous Buxton low model and was gutted when Hi Tec stopped making them, but now I have found the perfect replacement - I bought 4 pairs to keep me in shoes for a while!! Well done Hi Tec!!

Had my first pair tried them out they were so good i ordered two more pairs now i am set up for the next 12 month.
Takes a while to get used to. But great value for the price I paid.
Size 11, too tight & small fit
I think the toe box is quite small and the size comes up a bit small for me. They're not super comfortable. For £30 they're good value.
A good fit and very comfortable. These trainers are better than other much more expensive makes because they do not have ridiculous foot hurting fashion inserts. I hope they continue to be made this way.

I like walking and these are very comfortable
The shoes are a very narrow fit and it’s hard to tell the right foot from the left when they are on as they are both very straight (disappointing for Hi-Tec as I have had nothing but positive experience before). I cannot recommend these shoes and would not buy Hi-Tec shoes again.
